ST. AVARDS

This Building was called Scott's Mill it was situated on Ginger Mackays home and where Newt had The Morris Dealership.

The mill burned in 1942, my brother Ernie said it was a saturday afternoon and he and his friends had jst left the movie theatre after watching Roy Rogers and they saw the fire and of course ran to watch it.

This picture of Love's property is dated 1913. It is still standing but was almost gone a few years ago.

Front View

This view is from the front of Love's looking over to where Borden Myers would eventually build.

This is from the front looking up St. Peters Road 1913 at the intersection of Beasley and Allen Streets. The brick place on the right was Pope's Brewery and was sold to the Love's in 1875 and converted to a tannery.

The School

This is the earliest photo of the school I came across.

Womens Institute Hall

Here are two pictures of the hall as it was and when The Lions took it over.
Notice the vents missing in the second photo, The Lions replaced those tanks in the basement that held the sewage.
